So there are a LOT of parks in AZ. That seems right, as there are a lot of kids in AZ. Every neighborhood has it's own little park, but the big parks-the city parks have splash zones associated with them. They are little areas with lots and lots of water pouring down and shooting up from the ground. There's water archways, water spray guns, water spouts, buckets pouring down on their head, etc. It's pretty awesome. We have one just down the street from our hotel. The church playgroup I met with this week met at another one. Tom and I took the kids to one on his off Friday this week. So in one week we've been to the splash park three times. Samantha loves them and couldn't have more fun. It took Tommy until his 4th time (the time Tom was with us) until he had fun. These parks go in the bonus column for the state of Arizona. The glaring sun and heat while I sit and watch them....negative column.

Looks like you're finding lots of fun things to do. Samantha looks SO HAPPY to be playing in the fountain!
I'm sad you're not in our playgroup anymore! Way to go with the mini water parks. I guess you'd have to have them with the heat you get there.
So, are you crazy yet from staying in a hotel? I flipped out at about day 8!
