One Week from Today

I will have a new little baby!! For those of you who know how I feel about induction you should know that I did put up a fight. I pushed it back from this week until next. Plus...my resolve and belief in natural beginnings to labor have weakened substantially given that I have typical 9 month pregnancy misery. I'm excited to meet my beautiful baby. I'm so glad I didn't find out the gender because there are no surprises for me. I had the 3D ultrasound so I have a good idea of what the baby looks like. I had the fetal weight check, I will have a baby mid to high 8's. So...take my poll and tell me what you think the baby will be!

Oh, and could you PLEASE tell me how I'm supposed to do this. I have two kids and I honestly feel like I have no idea what's in store. So my mom friends out there, those that want to be moms, those that have observed other moms-please tell me something, anything, any advice you have, things you've heard, things you remember. I can't seem to remember what to do. Wish me luck :)!

I don't have much advice. One of the best things I can say is that luckily, they aren't born as toddlers. :) That is one theing the Lord gives us--infants, who only need to eat, sleep, and have their diapers changed. He gives us a few months to adjust before the infant begins to need more than that and before they start moving and getting in to anything. You will do great!

I can't believe it is already time for the baby. I know if probably seems like forever for you. You'll definitely have to post lots of pictures of him or her though. Just a little bit longer to go.

When someone says, "If you need any help, let me know." take them up on their offer and get some rest. I was such a fool to just smile and thank people for their offers. I NEVER called anyone. What was I thinking?!

AAAHHHH!!!! I can't believe it's TIME! I'm so excited and really nervous for you. Any advice?? I should be asking you for advice! You're going to do great! Just remember babies grow up fast, so hangin there, one day you will have an empty nest. ;)

Wow! I'm so excited for you to have baby #3! I think my best advice would be to focus on your family and not all the extra fluff stuff like cleaning the house, doing the laundry, & picking up the toys. It'll all get done in time. Don't stress and rest rest rest!

I have no children. But I am currently studying Freud's theories on psychosexual development. My advice on parenting--don't read anything written by Freud.

I'm sure you'll do great! The caretaking stuff is kind of like riding a bike, you'll feel like you never stopped. For me, going to #3 was easier than transitioning to 2...you're already used to being outnumbered, you already have had to come to terms with just taking care of at least one kid at all times. For the first few weeks my kids watched a LOT of movies while I nursed, and any time people offered to help, I had them take my older two out to do things I couldn't do with a brand new baby. And, I think any time you can reduce the number of kids you are taking care of at once, take it. For me, that meant having Seth in preschool 3 days a week, making sure Jonah took a nap every day, things like that. Congrats again, you'll do great! And I couldn't tell by which day Eliza was born, but did you not end up being induced?
